At Hands of Woodstock, we aim to make a lasting impact starting in the North Philadelphia community then beyond. Our initiatives and activities are designed to redefine the world as they see and catalyze true exposure and the expansion of horizons for the youth. But above all, passion is at the heart and soul of everything that we do.

We are H.O.W.! We Are HOW the children will grow up knowing different. We Are HOW they will grow up knowing better. We Are HOW they will see a better future. We Are HOW they will know more that what the neighborhoods they are growing in have to offer.

Our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly in the actions of our initiatives. From the moment we started our work as a group of friends in 2016, we understood that by working together as a unit and adding a structure, we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to create Hands of Woodstock, Fathers of the Community. We strive to make a positive change in all of our pursuits.
We Are H.O.W.
Our Team.
Built on over 25 years of brotherhood and friendship. This movement was created out of shared concerns for the youth in our neighborhood. Each member is his own image but a crucial piece that makes up the bigger picture. Each member brings a different expertise, point of view, resources and experience to the table. None of us are afraid to get our hands dirty and work, no matter what the challenge may be. We also operate with an absence of ego and that is what allows us to accomplish the majority of things we set forth.

The Focus of Our Efforts
Giving Back
At HOW, giving back is a fundamental activity we partake in. It's what our foundation was built on. Whether it's school supplies, plates for the homeless and turkeys for families during thanksgiving, granting wish lists for Xmas, or pandemic relief in a disaster. It's more than just showing up once in a while with trinkets, its about being forever present and reachable to those we are helping. Establishing trust and connections. Providing an extra buffer of support. Also, building and mending bridges with our people who may feel left out, disconnected and unreachable.
Fostering Education
The Bookbag drive is our longest running initiative, based on the premise that making a real difference is not only possible but vital through basic tools for learning. That change and push forward starts with the minds of the youth which will shape the landscape of our future. The bookbag drive is a source of great pride for our Non-Profit Organization and is also the first block laid to setting the community up for success. The second step is the follow through which we are in the process of learning & mastering through this journey we've embarked on.
Touching the People
We have a genuine connection with our community that can only be made by being present and going through struggles together. We would not have established this bond if we were sitting up in an office building. This is also not an effort to talk down on those who work from the desk. We all have an important role to play in this unification. We want to be the bridge to unite the people who are in the offices to the people who are living in these communities who feel forgotten. We are here to change the perception that those two groups may have of one another and we are also here to be the common ground they step foot on to see eye to eye.
DONATE
Commitment, transparency, cultivation. These three values have stood at the center of the Hands of Woodstock's mission since our inception. We wholeheartedly commit to the work we do with passion and dedication, transparently sharing it with the youth and families in our community and inviting others to take part. On top of this, we challenge ourselves to think creatively, applying an innovative approach to all that we do. This mission drives the continued progress of HOW. Donations will be applied to trips, workshops, events, extracurriculars, and the assisting overhead attached in order to facilitate and execute these activities.
